We are back

Well we went from snow to pool and we have been busy. Daddy started a full time job in January. Mommy has still been working 10 hour evening shifts and she is on call this weekend. We looked at at least 50+ house and finally bought one - a slow, drawn out, stressful process. Now we both have our own rooms again. We are fish in the pool EVERY DAY - and Daddy just finished building us a brand new swing set.
Dad is now busy with lots of lawn work. His new John Deer really helps out.

I graduated from Preschool! Now I will be heading to kindergarten for school all day in the fall. I will be going to a spacial Environmental Science school. I can't wait.
Here is a family from our Church that we really enjoy spending time with. This photo was taken during Owen's 3rd B-day party. We are glad that we have the chance to share our pool with lots of other kids this summer. It is much more fun to swim with friends.

Here is the playground Dad built. he even did all the ground work so we have a safe landing if (when) we fall.

A long hike up

Owen learned quick, to get a free ride.

There was so much snow Church was canceled. We all played in it, even Barkley. We went to our friends house. They have a big hill, lots of sleds and kids. It was fun. What a great day!

Snow

We got snow last week. Ever since Mom and Dad said we were moving to CT I have been waiting for the snow. So when it starting snowing in the evening, we got to stay up late to play in the first real snow fall. Do you like our snow man? He is wearing my T-ball hat.
We had a long snow ball fight with Dad. Barkley loved chasing and catching the snow balls. After a while were were pretty cold. (we didn't realize we would stay out so long so we didn't have our snow pants on). We had hot chocolate. I love Ms. Dorothy's special dairy free hot cocoa mix. Yummy!

Christmas Poem

Caleb has also been memorizing this poem for the Church presentation:

One little baby asleep on the hay.

Two loving parents keep watch while they pray.

Three wise men traveled on camels to find.

One little baby - Your Jesus and mine.

Christmas Song

Caleb has been practicing this song to sing at our church's Christmas Presentation. In case you can't catch all the words here they are:

See the baby, God's own Son

Jesus is the holy one.

Come to save us from our sin.

Open hearts and let Him in!

Come, Let us worship (x3)

The Savior of the world.

My Parents Are Proud of Me!

Yup...they are proud of me. I made it until 4 years and almost 8 months before breaking a bone. It has been hard to do things with my left hand - so sorry for the delay in this post, but as you can see I broke my arm two weeks ago! My family was at a park with two other families, one with 8 kids and one with 9 kids. My dad found a tree growing out of the ground at a 45 degree angle and started to walk up it. Lots of the kids followed him, so I did too. Then Barkley decided to follow me. He was so excited he knocked me right out of the tree. I feel about 4 feet and landed on my arm. I broke my radius. Now I have a cool red cast that I get to wear for 2 more weeks. Needless to say, mom and dad are surprised I made it this long without breaking something earlier. They just ask that next time I do it on a weekday, during normal business hours, so I don't have to go the the emergency room again :-)

New Playgrounds

One fun thing about living in a new place is discovering new playgrounds. We thought that AR had some great playgrounds. Well there are some great ones here too! Here are some shots of one that we visited today.
It had a great rock climbing wall. Here we are at the top. As you can see, the trees are starting to change color. It is getting cool too. Warm pants already!

Even Daddy had fun!

All the ground below it was squishy. That made Mommy happy.

Hiking

We have been trying to take advantage of the beautiful weather and gorgeous New England scenery. It doesn't look like AR. A couple weekends ago we hiked Peaked Mt. in MA with a family from our church. We a had a lot of fun. - Yes the photo is us with just one family. They have 8 kids. Can you imagine having 7 brothers and sister? Owen and I think it would be fun!
Mom and Dad thought we did such a great job on our first hike that we went for a hike this afternoon. Mom got off work early!! It was so nice out we looked at the state map and decided to hike at Talcott Mt. State Park. This huge "summer home" with great tower was at the top and we could see all the way to NY state!
Barkley like the hiking too.

Dad and Mom both gave Owen a lift when he got a little tired.
We hope for more nice weather before it gets too cold - and we hope to do more hiking soon.
